The ‘JSON Web Tokens’ add-on allows outside applications to authenticate against your WordPress site using JSON Web Tokens (JWTs). This authentication mechanism prevents the need for separate usernames and passwords.
If you’re building a SaaS, your WordPress site can act as your application’s identity provider (IDP). This means you have a consistent set of users between your marketing efforts and the application. You don’t have to build out all the standard user management features such as login, registration, and password reset.
